Orthotics
What are orthotics?
Orthotic devices are frequently utilised to safeguard and support specific joints or areas of the body where correction is required.
Types of Orthotic Devices
Cranial helmet
A cranial helmet, or cranial reshaping orthosis, is a unique treatment involving a custom-created helmet that fits over the head with regions of open space above the flattened areas. These spaces enable the continuous development of the head to fill out these areas over a few weeks or months. Essentially, this is a painless and, most importantly, safe treatment. No direct pressure is applied to the problematic areas of the head, ensuring the safety and comfort of your child. A cranial helmet aims to correct moderate to severe head-shape abnormalities to avoid developmental delays and meet growth milestones.
